Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing a small amount of benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth. It is used to reconstitute lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides because it allows a vial to be safely accessed multiple times over its usable life, unlike plain sterile water.
One milligram (mg) equals 1,000 micrograms (mcg). To convert mg to mcg, multiply by 1,000; to convert mcg back to mg, divide by 1,000. This calculator handles that conversion for you automatically when it computes total peptide content from your selected vial size.
